In 2017 Kimberly Clark Professional returned as an official partner of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, and as the title sponsor of the SCOTT® 150, the 2017 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards event at Chicagoland Speedway on September 14, 2017. Kimberly Clark continued their long-standing relationship with HB&M Sports to help execute all aspects of the partnership, including activation of the SCOTT 150 entitlement.
To help promote the SCOTT 150, Kimberly Clark worked with HB&M Sports to develop a national sweepstakes inviting race fans across the country to enter for a chance to win a VIP weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. After 4 weeks of promotion and over 7,000 entries, James Chandler of Nashville, TN was randomly selected as the grand prize winner. James and his guest enjoyed first class accommodations, tickets and credentials for the entire weekend of racing.
Fans were invited to enter to win through a custom-built website: www.scottcarcare.com/SCOTT150Giveaway. The sweepstakes was promoted primarily through social media advertising and a national press release. The HB&M team worked closely with Kimberly Clark, Chicagoland Speedway and ARCA to drive traffic and entries for the giveaway.
The prize package included:
HB&M was on-site at Chicagoland to help execute all aspects of the prize package and help Kimberly Clark fully activate their entitlement race. James and Kevin truly experienced a trip of a lifetime!
As part of their sponsorship activation, SCOTT®, alongside Menards, invited 200 contractors and their families to serve as the Grand Marshals of the SCOTT® 150. SCOTT® used this asset to recognize and thank these contractors for their hard work and their business. This group kicked off the event, calling out the most famous four words in motorsports: ‘Drivers, start your engines!’
HB&M also assisted with design and execution of a display space in Chicagoland’s “Champions Park”. As thousands of race fans walked through Champions Park throughout the weekend the SCOTT Brand booth drew attention through driver appearances, games, and product giveaways.
